Jack Cornett

Jack Cornett is a radiochemist and toxicologist at the University of Ottawa who uses natural and artificial radiotracers to identify the sources, pathways and fate of pollutants, including trace metals and radionuclide in man-made and natural environments. He led the development of Health Canada’s guidelines when he was the Director of the Radiation Protection Program for radon gas and other radionuclides in drinking water. He was awarded a Canada Research Chair (I) in Radiochemistry and Environmental Health in 2012 and is developing a new research and training program for the recently CFI funded Accelerator Mass Spectrometry facility at uOttawa.
