I completed my undergrad in biochemistry at Laval University in 2013 but felt I had not learned enough to pursue in research right away. Therefore, I went abroad to complete a taught master in analytical toxicology at King's College London where I learn a lot about mass spectrometry among other. After completion in 2014, I came back to Quebec City, my hometown, to start a PhD in experimental medicine with Dr. Pierre Ayotte. My research project will focus on the discovery of potential biomarkers of diabetes in indigenous populations and the effect of mercury, selenium, polyunsaturated fatty acid omega-3 and organochlorines on the onset of diabetes.
