I completed my undergraduate degree in Chemical Biology at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. After four years of separation from Tim Hortons and not hearing a single “eh” in friendly conversation, I decided it was finally time to return to the True North and pursue a Master’s degree in Biology with a specialization in Chemical and Environmental Toxicology at Carleton University. Under the supervision of Dr. Robert Letcher and Dr. Bill Willmore I am working at the National Wildlife Research Centre to investigate the structure – activity relationships, fate, and bioaccumulation of organophosphate ester contaminants in lake trout and double-crested cormorants: two top aquatic consumers in the Laurentian Great Lakes food web.
