I completed my BSc in Life Science with a specialization Drug Development and Human Toxicology at Queen’s University, where I had been involved in research on benzene toxicity. I joined Dr. Laurie Chan’s lab as an MSc at the University of Ottawa with the goal of experiencing and conducting research related to environmental toxicology. My current research aims to determine the potential obesogenic and metabolic effects of persistent organic pollutants including short chained chlorinated paraffins and pentachlorophenol in adipocytes.
