After completing my BSc in Chemistry at the University of Western Ontario, I completed my MSc in Biology at the University of Ottawa in 2017 with Dr. Jules Blais & Paul White. During this time, I studied the utility of urinary biomarkers to assess combustion emission exposures. One part of my thesis included assessing firefighters’ exposures to PAHs and other organic mutagens during emergency fire suppression. I am now pursuing a PhD with Drs. Blais & White focused on further evaluating firefighters’ toxicological exposures and utilizing novel methods of exposure assessment.
