I have research background in neurosciences. I completed my BSc in biotechnology in the Hong Kong Baptist University. I obtained my MPhil and PhD degrees from the Faculty of Medicine in the University of Hong Kong. After my PhD, I worked in the University of Toronto as a postdoctoral fellow before joining the University of Ottawa. I am now a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Laurie Chan’s lab. I am currently interested in studying the environmental impacts on brain health. My present research project is to use both cell culture and animal models to study the effects of low-dose methylmercury exposure on the embryonic cerebral cortex neurodevelopment.
