Laziyan Mahemuti

I am currently a PhD student working with Dr. William Willmore (Carleton University) and Dr. Dawn Jin (Health Canada). Our lab is interested in investigating the human health impacts of NCP (Norhtern contaminant mixture) and Bisphenol A (BPA) through in vivo and in vitro model using aspects of Toxicology studies.  My thesis focuses on the mechanism of action of bisphenol A (BPA) in human fetal lung fibroblast. The study of toxicology is both fascinating and challenging, as it brings together so many different aspects of biology and research techniques. I really found my passion in Toxicology and the CREATE-REACT program is an exciting opportunity.
